Game Announcements

Part of your obligation to your sponsor is to have public address announcements read at the game. We have developed some announcements that you can easily customize for use at your school. However, it is important that you coordinate this activity with the appropriate game administrator prior to the night of the game. It is also helpful if you can meet with the public address announcer to go over pronunciation of the sponsor's name and the timing of the announcements.

First Half Announcement:
(To be made during a time out or break in the action during the first half of the game.)

“The Glendale High School Cheerleading Team would like to thank Dr. Phil Nopain and the No Pain No Gain Dentist Office for supplying the 500 sets of CheerStix™ that were distributed to fans upon entrance to tonight's game. We appreciate Dr. Nopain's interest and support of Glendale High School.”

Halftime Announcement:
(To be read during the halftime break after the teams return for the second half of the game.)

“Special thanks to Dr. Nopain and the No Pain No Gain Dentist Office for purchasing the CheerStix™ for tonight's game. Dr. Nopain's dentistry is located at 123 Feel Good Way right here in Glendale. Dr. Nopain encourages everyone to support the Glendale High School Hawks!”

End of Game Announcement:
(If possible, it is nice to give a final thank you after the game has ended.)

“A final thank you to Dr. Nopain and the No Pain No Gain Dentist Office for their sponsorship of tonight's CheerStix™ giveaway. Good Night and Drive Safely.”

Sponsor Presentation Script

Another obligation you have is to present your sponsor with a plaque during pre-game or halftime of the game. A sample script for this presentation is below. Remember to coordinate this activity with your sponsor and the person who will be presenting the plaque on behalf of the school. Remember to meet everyone participating in the presentation at least 15 minutes before the presentation is to take place. You will need to have them lined up and ready to go when the time comes.

“Ladies and gentlemen please direct your attention to mid field (center court) where Glendale High School principal, Ima Goodguy, is joined by Dr. Phil Nopain of No Pain No Gain denstistry. Mr. Goodguy is presenting Dr. Nopain with a plaque in recognition of his support of tonight's CheerStix™ giveaway and FAN FRENZY NIGHT™. The Glendale High Hawks appreciate Dr. Nopain's contribution to tonight's game. Fans, please give a round of applause for Dr. Nopain and the No Pain No Gain dentist office.”

Electronic Messageboard Announcements (Optional)

Some schools may have access to an electronic messageboard or marquis board at their games. Below are a couple of ways to recognize your sponsor on an electronic message board. Keep your messages short.

“Thanks Dr. Nopain for tonight's CheerStix™ giveaway.”

“Thank you No Pain No Gain Dentist Office for supporting Glendale High and FAN FRENZY NIGHT™!”

“No Pain No Gain Dentistry located at 123 Feel Good Way in Glendale.”

Static Display Messageboards (Optional)

Most schools have static message boards in front of their school. These can be a great way to promote FAN FRENZY NIGHT™ and thank your sponsor. Below are some examples that you can adapt to fit your situation. If you can get the sponsor's name on the message board be sure to take a picture to show to your sponsor(s).
